In the heart of the city, you will pass the Praça de Comercio hub, the historic districts of Alfama, where Fado is said to have originated, and Alcantara, where royalty and nobility used to live. The boat will sail by the futuristic Parque das Naçoes, which was built for the 1998 World Exposition and has a number of striking examples of modern architecture, including the Oceanarium and the Vasco da Gama Tower.
