Visit Esztergom, Visegrád and Szentendre, the three most beautiful cities in the Danube Bend. Enjoy the picturesque sights in all of these locations and get acquainted with the Hungarian history along the "Blue Danube" and also have an unforgettable boat tour back to Budapest.

Danube Bend – an excursion into Hungary's history. This is an unforgettable tour along the "Blue Danube" with stops in Esztergom, Visegrád and Szentendre.

Esztergom: It used to be the capital of Hungary and is still the centre of the Catholic Church. We visit the largest cathedral of Hungary (also burial place of famous cardinals, like Primate József Mindszenty). Afterwards, we drive across the river to Slovakia and enjoy the view over the Basilica.

Visegrád: After the Mongol invasion a new fortification was constructed here in the mid-13th century. The top of the hill offers a fascinating panorama on the Danube valley. After enjoying the view there is free time to have lunch (not included in the price).

Szentendre: It is a small baroque city built on medieval ruins, located at the gate of the Danube Bend. The town is considered to be the Artists' Village or the Painters' Town. We walk around the historical centre and enjoy the cobblestoned narrow streets as well as the baroque houses. After the guided tour you can also visit some museums (for example the famous Margit Kovács Ceramic Museum or the Confectionery Museum with marzipan figures).

During summer (May-September) we return to Budapest by boat. The tour ends in the city centre (pier).

Ticket Information

Tour Availability: From November to March, every Thursday and Saturday and daily except for Mondays between April and October.

Meeting Time: Please be at meeting point at least 30min before departure time.

Departure Time: 9.00am.

Duration: 8-9h approx.

Meeting Point: Pick up from all hotels. Please note that if you do not wish to use the pick-up service, please go to the office located at 1054 Budapest Bathory utca 22.

From 1st April 2020, pick up at hotels will not be longer possible. Clients will be required to arriva at the Cityrama Budapest office. Pick ups are available on a private basis for an additional cost, please contact us for a price.

Inclusions: Pick up from hotels, English speaking guide and cruise between May and September.

Exclusions: Drop off at hotels, instead drop off is at Pier 6 at Vigado ter, food and drinks, entrance fees to the museums and any other services not mentioned above.

Additional Information: Please note that the boat service between Szentendre and Budapest is available only between May and September. In case of low water and during the winter time return to Budapest will be by bus.
